Allow Me To Introduce Myself

I’m Jess, an Omaha-based photographer, storyteller, and lifelong horse enthusiast with a passion for capturing the beauty, personality, and connection found in the equestrian world.

My photography journey began long before I ever considered turning it into a business. With a background in visual storytelling and years of experience as a photojournalist, I learned early on how to look beyond simply documenting what is in front of the camera. I learned to anticipate moments, work in challenging environments, understand light, and tell a story through a single frame. Those experiences shaped the way I approach photography today.

In 2026, I made the decision to transition my photography work specifically into equine photography, bringing together two things that have always been a significant part of my life: photography and horses.

As a horsewoman myself, I understand that our horses are more than animals we ride. They are partners, teachers, competitors, companions, and often an important part of our identity. I know the countless hours spent grooming, training, hauling, preparing, competing, and simply being together. I also know how quickly those moments can pass.

That understanding is at the heart of my work.

My approach combines the precision of a professional photographer with the perspective of someone who genuinely understands horses. I know that every horse is different. Some are expressive and playful, some are quiet and reserved, and some seem to know exactly when the camera is pointed at them. I take the time to work with each horse and allow their individual personality to guide the session.

For me, the best photographs are not simply beautiful. They tell you something about the horse.

Whether it is the intensity in a horse's eye, the power of a gallop, the elegance of a well-executed movement, or the quiet connection between horse and rider, I want my images to capture what makes that particular horse special.

My goal is to create photographs that you will be proud to display in your home, share with others, and look back on for years to come. Images that don't just document a horse, but celebrate them.
